I was chatting with Nemo and GS this afternoon and was surprised to hear about the weekly mileage they've been getting. See, I’m at a disadvantage since I am rather public about my training, eating, and drinking habits. Some followers of MRCAM are less than forthcoming about their training activities. MD for instance claims that he has a stress fracture but I’m pretty sure he is getting mad crazy miles. Every once in a while, he says things like “I did 3.8K in the pool this morning”. See, I need to know this so I can step up my game. MD goes for days without communicating. I think he is getting little trips to his favorite training ground in Florida but I’m not sure. I may just start randomly driving by his house looking for his car.
As I was considering heading for Happy Hour on Thursday night, I get the following information (after much prying).
Nemo’s last 4 weeks through today:
48.3 miles
51.85 miles
55.69 miles
35.91 miles
GS’s last 4 weeks through today:
45.6 miles
51.48 miles
53.71 miles
30.18 miles
Do you know want I did? I panicked. As the sun was setting, I took off from Wilson Bridge heading south. Who needs 12 miles on a Thursday night in January? I do if I don’t want to get dropped every Saturday morning.
For those looking for a good time, Nemo is starting swim lessons in a couple weeks. I will be trying to video tape a few of these sessions and get them on the blog.
Stats
12 miles (1:43)
163 lbs (after breakfast so I’m probably closer to 162)

I don't remember "much prying". I remember many accusations of falsified records based on the presence of decimal places.
Nice, there was no prying, and you don't get to act all noble just because you've been blogging for 2 months, you and MD have had your secret sessions too. Oh, and big props for the positive reinforcement on the swim lessons. And if I remember correctly, I've been getting dropped every saturday, not you. and lemon wasn't the main ingredient that makes the soup tart.
Wow. Nemo's new name: Jaws.
woooaaa. had a sugar low after lunch, and someone was chumming the waters..
First of all, big props to Nemo for stepping up and taking swim lessons (and taking of the arm floaties). Second, you have to admit, reporting running mileage to the nearest 100th of a mile is a little suspicious. Lastly, I would just like to see all members of MRCAM be transparent in the training. That goes for MD and Dr.DB as well. I’ve got the GF keeping track of Double-D and the MIT posse. J-Fo is never transparent. He always tells me that he isn’t running.
