Track and First Time Trial

OK, I'll admit I am getting really bad with this blog. Today I had an hour to catch up. GS, Nemo, and I met at the track this morning. Both mentioned hearing rain throughout the night and confessed to hoping the workout was rained out. I went to bed early because I knew this would hurt. The rain held off until the last couple intervals and then it just poured. There were puddles on the track and lightening by the the last interval so the cool-down was rained out. Felt pretty good at the track. GS is still a bit quicker and Nemo still has a good looking stride despite facing near death at the Pig a few weeks ago.

15 warm up
4 x accelerations
3x 800 with 200 recovery
3 x 1200 with 200 recovery
Cool down was rained out

I followed the track work with moving a bunch of weight around at Life Time. I wanted to see if I still had the same strength I did late in the winter. I don't but it is close. Typical routine of one-legged dead lifts, dead lifts, squats, extensions, walking lunge, core.

This evening I broke out the P3 TT bike for the first outdoor ride of the year. GS and I rode out to Osterander and back. To set a "benchmark", I timed from leaving Eli Pinney school to the stop sign in Osterander and back. 19.4 miles. I was careful to stop the watch just as we finished so I could record the time. Unfortunately, I reset my watch at my morning swim on Friday and forgot to record the time. It was probably close to 1:04 but not sure.

Stats
6 miles run (intervals)
25 mile ride (1:24)
156 lbs
