Nemo cam across in 3:13 and let a trash can know how hard he worked. He put it out there on a tough course. I don't care what any one says, the Pig is hilly. It was great to see a guy that has worked hard all winter get his reward. That and I didn't want us to have to make another run at the marathon this fall. We are planning to return to Boston next spring for a victory lap.
The GF came across in 2:07 for a new PR at the half and seemed none the worse for wear. I was hoping to see her cross the line but the finish area at the Pig kept me somewhat confused.
As Dr. DB said, Professor Brinkman gutted it out and wrapped up his first marathon. Not sure if it is his last but he seemed mostly unharmed even if he was a Little battered. I'm very proud. I ran with them from mile 5 to about 9 so I got the good miles and the happy part of the run. Dr. DB kept Professor Brinkman company much like he did me on my first marathon almost 10 years ago and brought him home.
Here is a picture of the finishing stretch. Way to go, it makes me feel almost as good as if it were my own first time. That is my older brother on the right with his pirated Steelhead T-shirt and his trusty pacer on the left.

Sure I missed the actual Mid Ohio Century. MD said it was a nice ride. I wouldn't have missed today for that though. Today was a day to sit back and witness people have a great experience and how wonderful it is to see my friends and family execute on a plan.
