Good Week

Good solid week of running. I was able to get a good volume in early week and later in the week which put me up around 64 miles for the week. On Thursday, Nemo, MD and I did track work. 3 x ( 800, 600, 600). I was feeling fast despite having run 12 on Wednesday. 800s were on 2:50 600s on 2:08. Nemo and I got a Friday afternoon treat with a run at Highbanks. I was tired by Friday night.

Saturday's long run was just Nemo and I. MD has IMmoo in a week so he is tapering. My good buddy GS is MIA trying to recover from a bum mahstring. Nemo and I started off fast for some reason and made the first couple miles in the mid 7s. We worked through the first 7 miles or so and then slowly took the pace down. It felt good so I dropped a few in the 6:30s. It feels nice to be running faster. Even when I was at my peak for Ironman I can't run this well. As I've said before, biking kills my running legs.

MIT Army was out in full force. It is a little sad this fall because I can't look for my buddy's J-Fo and Double-D. J-Fo is just now starting to run again from a surgery last fall. Double-D is um...let's just say he is not getting faster. I did get to see the GF and actually got to chat since we were finishing at their water stop.

This morning I took an easy 10 mile run with MD and Nemo. MD's idea of easy is like 7:30 so I was hurting. It didn't help matters that I was out a little late and was still tasting some wine and curry cashews this morning. Not a good thing combination for running. So just before I settled into my Sunday nap, I did something special.

I like to call it "Breffast #2"

Stats
Thursday: 9 mile run (intervals)
Friday: 9 mile run (1:18)
Saturday: 15 mile run (1:38)
Sunday: 10 mile run (1:18)
158 lbs (I blame Breffast #2)
