Jingle Bell Run

MD, GS, Nemo, and I met at 10:00 am at Highbanks for a 3 loop run at on the wooded trail. It should have been about 13 miles but... The trail had a lot of ice and it was raining. As you might guess, it was slippery. MD actually had a bit of a fall and might have banged his head. In case he doesn't remember, we were talking about 'Grease' the musical. Fortunately for me, it was slick enough to keep the pace manageable.

We ended up running one loop on the wooded trail, one on the grassy meadow, and then one more loop on the wooded trail. Probably close to 13 miles. It was sloppy, slippery, and wet. There was lots of mud and puddles out there. Good run if you’re a mudder and good way to spend Christmas Eve morning.

I hit the gym for some strength training afterwards. Despite the run, I was able to get some heavy lifting in for ‘leg day’. I almost passed out doing dead lifts but it was cool. J-Fo met me at Lifetime for some funky abdominal work as well. Unfortunately, I was unable to slip in a nap and now I am heading off to dinner with the GF’s family.

I pray for safe and joyous travels for all my friends and family. To my AZ homeys, keep it sunny. Yo Feebs, I seriously love pancakes. Good times my friend.
