I got some reassurance from a pharmacist that cold medicine does indeed cause some of the problems I was experiencing yesterday. This does makes me feel better.
“If it makes you feel better...palpitation, tachycardia, nasal stuffiness, thickening of bronchial secretions, & wheezing are all side effects of antihistamines. ALSO..the most common side effect is drowsiness”
I pushed through 5 miles on the treadmill this morning. Actually, I started running outside because all the forecast called for warmer weather. The weather forecast predicted warming on Saturday unfortunately this was still Friday morning and 12 degrees. I ran about a ½ mile from my house and realized that there were still no clear trails or sidewalks anywhere to be found. I returned home and headed for Life Time.
This Saturday looks to be the first outdoor ride of the season. We are going to have a good turnout. MD, GS, and Nemo will be in attendance as well as our official cycling organizer, let’s just call him Daredevil. It should be entertaining. I’m nervous like a first date. I hope I don’t look the fattest in my cycling shorts. We’ll try to grind out 3 hours since it is supposed to reach near 50 degrees.
Monday is the official start of the Lake Placid training program. 3000 yards swim… that seems a little aggressive but I hope to stick to it as much as possible.
Stats
5 miles (I forgot to look)
166 lbs

Glad you got out yesterday! Double-D and I were out with the MIT army and took a different route. Sorry we missed you . . .
