Up and at it early today. MD ditched me for the 5:45 spin class and transition run but I soldiered through on my own. The spin was not an all out effort but a few good intervals to get the heart rate up. The transition run was short, like a transition run should be. 3 miles on the treadmill with increasing speed. Not really planned to be a negative split but I just started speeding it up to get it over. Endurance Planet podcasts kept me sane.
J-Fo met me at the gym at 7:00 to goof off and flex his biceps. He also gave me a spot for my squats. I wanted to push heavy weights today without falling down or dropping weights. I appreciate the support buddy.
I was going to try to run a few more miles this evening after work but the rain and my lack of ambition won out. I need to start getting a 3rd swim sometime Monday to Friday so maybe today will be the day. Then again, it could be tomorrow since the Dublin Rec is always so crowded in the evening and Life Time pool…well you know how I feel about that.
Sadly, I’m already looking forward to the weekend. The Boston Training Plan has 20-23 miles on the schedule. GittyUp!
Stats
60 minute spinning class
3 miles transition run (no timing)
162 lbs (and holding)
