This is a step down week and I definitely stepped down. I’ve only gotten 11 miles going into the weekend. Saturday morning brought us more cold February like days. GS was helping with his daughter’s gymnastic meet so he was out. Nemo joined MD and I for the part of the run. GS and Nemo are racing a 15 miler Sunday so they needed to take it easy. We opted to start at 9:00 am so I took advantage and put in 60 minutes on the trainer before we started. Nice and easy in Heart Rate 1 and 2.
The run was a lesser effort than the past few weeks. I wasn’t catching splits but it was probably in the 7:40 – 7:50 range. We’ve been pushing a hard tempo recently so it was nice to actually be able to chat on the second half. Lots of people out on the trail but I missed most of the MIT army since we started so late. I did get confirmation from the GF though that Double-D was back at it and feeling a little better.
