Do nothing Friday

Training stinks this week. I was worn out the first half of the week and a bit under the weather the 2nd half. I guess it is just part of the cycle. Since I may not work out at all today, I’ll share some interesting things with you.

One of my new gems is Belgium Knee Warmers . It contains some truly great reading on classic cycling. Today was a great interview with Andy Hampsten and the conflict between Greg LeMond and Bernard Hinault on La Vie Claire. If you don’t know who any of these guys are just skip the link. BKW is a blog by a couple guys on the fringe of pro cycling so it is really some insightful stuff.

Also for you reading pleasure today, specially for Nemo, is this “60 seconds UK” Interview with Chrissie Wellington. A brief excerpt:

(60 seconds )Which part of the course do you find the most difficult?
(CW) The opening swim is always a bit frantic. It's like a Friday-night pub brawl. There are fists and legs and body parts flying around - it would probably be quite enjoyable if it wasn't at 6.45 in the morning.

For those looking for a handmade bike, this is going on in Indy this weekend. Having seen a number of pics from this on Velonews in the past, it looks to be something special.

Good luck to Nemo and GS as you test your legs in the Columbus RoadRunner’s Winter Run 15 miler on Sunday. I’m betting you both podium in the 35-39 AG. Don’t disappoint me.
