Weekend Wrap Up

We set the racing aside this Saturday and ran a relatively relaxed pace. Saturday morning was nice and dry with just a hint of a chill. There were lots of people running and we got a quick glimpse of Double-D as many of the MIT Army passed us by. The route was Wilson Bridge to Lane and back. We ran 1:11 out and 1:09 back for a nice round 2:20. Nemo may have had it a bit quicker since he was rather keen to start and stop his watch. It was good to be able to chat on the return and not get dropped. The guys were all in a funny mood. I think it's because spring is in the air. I tried for an ice bath after the run but just couldn’t bring myself to drop into the cold water.

Sunday was a relaxed day. The forecast was not good for riding outside. I was out a little late on Saturday night at a birthday party for my friend’s triplets. Because of that I slept a little too late for my morning spin class and generally didn’t feel like sitting on the spinner. MD let me know that I stood him up. Sorry about that buddy. I made a couple loops around Highbanks with Nemo to get 8 miles and round out my 70 mile week. I also made my first trip to LifeTime in a few weeks for a little core work and some light leg lifting.

Stats (Saturday)
18 mile run (2:20)
156 lbs

Stats (Sunday)
8 mile run (1:10)
45 minutes spinning
157 lbs
