Long Run Sunday

The long run this week turned out a little faster than planned. I don't know what it is about this spring. Everything started nice with 7:30s to 7:50s on the way out but we ended up pushing hard on the way home. 3 or 4 of the miles at the end of the long run were faster than my mile repeats on Tuesday. After last week’s easy long run, I thought we were going to roll easy into Boston.

I decided to try the Fuel Belt again since I want to be able to carry a camera at Boston in a couple weeks. It gave me a little trouble from time to time but I think I'll be able to use it. Here are some mid-run shots at our favorite water stop on Lane.

MD was of taking care of some business in the woods so no picture for him this week.

This was the turn around. Nemo started setting pace on the way back and I was giving him a rough time about going too fast but he wouldn't slow down. I got a little irritated and picked up the pace. I think MD and GS were just at the back laughing the whole time. We had some 6:30s and 6:40s all the way home.

I was hoping to sit on the spinner and watch Tour of Flanders on TV but ended up doing some work and laying around. Hopefully I'll be covered for Tuesday's interval session.

Stats
18 mile run (2:09)
158 lbs

Nice pics, Greg does kind of look like a thug with that running outfit and hat . . .

You'll need to try some pictures in motion on your next run!
