Back to the Track

GS, Nemo and I made the weekly return to the oval. I haven't been to the track in a few weeks so I was a little nervous. The layoff from running seems to be OK. The legs felt better than expected. Weather was great and it is nice to be doing a morning run with some daylight.

The 1200s times were quite good for me. 4:34 - 4:30 - 4:26 - 4:27 - 4:22. The last is the fastest 1200 I've ever put up. All but the first were under 6 min/mile pace. Nemo was right with me for the whole thing. GS was a bit quicker. MD is on a little running break due to a calf / shin problem. He is taking a few weeks off to recover. Hopefully he will listen to his doctor and not rush the return. Gotta train smart.

20 minute warm-up
10 x Accelerations (accelerate to 100% effort over 100 with 100 recovery)
5 x 1200 with 400 recovery
15 minute cool down

I'm hoping to get an evening ride in as well with the New Albany group.

Stats
9 mile run (intervals)
40 mile ride (1:50)
155 lbs
