Who told the sun it could sleep in? It was dark but the trail gnomes didn't get us today. I miss the early morning sunrises we had in June. Remeber when you could roll out of bed at 5:00 and the you could see the sky starting to lighten? That is gone. See you next spring. Darker days are coming so we've got to enjoy the few more good weeks left.
5:27am, 5:28am, 5:29am, 5:30am...and we are off.
Quick tempo this morning right from the gun for Nemo and me. Nance and GS took a little longer to wake up but they caught back on with a couple miles left. Pace felt real comfortable. I don't know where I'll find another 40 seconds per mile in then next 13 weeks but got to have hope.
Big congratulations to JD as he ran a respectable 16:00 for 2 miles at his first Cross Country meet. MD was in town long enough to see the meet but he couldn't stick around long enough for this morning's run. I'm starting to think he may be cheating on us with another running club...
