Routine Sunday

Typical Sunday morning run… 2 loops on the wooded trail at Highbanks. It was about 40 degrees which felt cool compared to yesterday. Once again, it was a good choice because it was windy. I felt sluggish but I’ll attribute it to the high mileage week (49 miles) and the longer run yesterday (15 miles). With the extra Holidays this week, it was a good time to add a little volume. This is the highest volume week I’ve ever had in December. Let’s see if it is an investment in 2009 or just silly.

I dropped by Lifetime after the workout to do some leg balance routines. One legged dead lifts, one leg extensions, one leg free squat, etc. and to roll on the IT band foam roller. I thought about getting in the pool but got hungry instead.

Next week is the start of the Boston Training Program. The guys and I will be following this. It starts with a rest day which is cool. The interval workouts will probably have to be done on the treadmill if the weather is cold or wet. Maybe I can talk MD into meeting me at Lifetime for the first one on Tuesday.

Nap time.

Stats
9 miles (1:12)
166 lbs (this could be a problem)
