Quick thanks to my brother, his wife, and my dad for dinner last night. I'm not sure BW3 is going to help me with my goal of going to Tucson under 160 lbs but it was a nice treat and a good visit.
Friday is usually a light day as we gear up for the big weekend. I had a little swim this morning and that’s all the training for the day. I’ll wrap up the day with visit to the massage therapist and then make a nice dinner to fuel up for tomorrow’s run. For those looking for a swim workout, here is mine from this morning.
300 warm up
4 x 150 free on 3:00
6 x 100 free on 2:00
8 x 50 free on 1:00
150 Kick as 50 dolphin, 50 flutter, 50 side
150 Pull as 50 back, 50 breast, 50 free
2 x 50 one arm*
2 x 50 fist drill **
300 cool down
* Left arm stays out front for 25 pulling only with right arm; switch sides for the next 25, left arm out front pulling with the left arm
** Hands closed in fist; focus on pulling with forearm and bicep with good body roll
Tomorrow’s run is going to be one of the longest in months. We’ll go about 20 miles hopefully at a nice easy pace. No need for bib numbers this weekend.
Stats
2700 yard swim
164 lbs (uh oh, going the wrong way)

I'm bringing a race number. Pinning it on Nemo:

I don't want it, but I'll get blamed anyway...
