Wow, what a run

Oddly, 2:30 feels like I had a half-day. I got to hit the grocery and clean my truck but my legs were shot. GS joined me for an 18 miler today. This is the longest run since April. It is amazing how fast good legs go away. Between the long bike rides and shorter runs, 18 miles was a LONG run. I think we were about 20 minutes slower than our better marathon training days. According to my log, when we were marathon training, we ran this in 2:10, today was 2:30. I have to admint that we were not really in any hurry today and could have gone a bit faster, still it hurt. It just furthers my statement that it is tough to have good bike legs and run legs at the same time.

This coming week is a recovery week. I'm not sure I need one but I'll take it easy on Monday and Tuesday. I feel like I need to run more but maybe I'll put a few long miles later this week.
