High intensity lower volume. As usual, I misread my plan. I thought the main set was 1000/600/400/300 and I was thinking "wow this is short". After turning to the next page I found that it was a bit longer. The idea was to increase the pace on each set with 200 recovery. I don't do math very well when I'm running hard and these were odd distances so I wrote the pace and goal time on my arm. I nailed every one faster than planned so I was pretty pleased with the workout.
20 minute warm up
4 x 100 accelerations with 100 recovery
Main Set
1000/600/400/300 on 4:10/2:15/1:20/1:00
600/400/300 on 2:15/1:20/1:00
400/300 on 1:20/1:00
10 minute cool down and stretch
Thursday evening was an easy ride with GS. Just out to Osterander and back to get some blood flowing and keep some consistency. It probably didn't do much for my fitness but it helps clear the mind.
