This week has been quite adventurous. Our man Daredevil got eaten alive at Cheat Mountain last weekend. He said it was a doozy with a bunch of climbing. I think he probably showed up hungover and thought the Sag Wagon driver was offering him a ride to the bar. Here is what the ride probably looked like this:____/\__/\__. Since Daredevil needs to show everyone that he isn't a sissy, he has sent a challenge to all that will listen. The ride is a long hilly route 2 hours away and he knows everyone will turn him down. By the generous use of "Reply All" by the brotherhood, it looks like he is getting just what he wants. No Challengers. Way to go Daredevil!
MD, Nemo, and GS put in a brutal weekend in the oppressing heat. They survived 100 miles of hills in south east Ohio and all 3 finished the 18 mile run on Sunday. That is a big step up from last week when 3 of the 4 of us had to limp in.
My weekend was relaxed. I took an 8 mile run mid Saturday morning. Not fast but pain free. On Sunday I gave J-Fo the oldest trick in the book. "We'll only go for a two hours" (and then go three hours). According to sources, J-Fo was not walking real well on Sunday. I thought it was funny. He did not. It was great because he was so peppy the first hour, often leaving me and waiting at intersections. At one intersection when I finally caught him he asked "Which way"...I said "right turn, about a mile back". That is why you never leave the ride leader if you don't know the route boys and girls. The whole first hour I felt like this…

What’s been going on this weekend you ask? I ran on Monday at Highbanks, good to get back on the trails. Tuesday I did a short 3 miler after work in the stifling heat. Wednesday, Nemo and I did the 6 mile route from Wendy’s. Thursday Nemo and I chased MD around the track for a while. I'm not feeling great but I'm feeling better.

2 x (4 x 800) all in 2:55 – 3:05

That’s it for now, good luck to Nemo at Great Buckeye Challenge. I hope all that swim training pays off!
