Saturday morning started out solo. MD was planning on joining but he is down with the flu. Neemo is wrapping up his kid's fall sports but should be back next week. Feebs met me at Northmoor Park despite having a wedding reception the night before. He lacked some sleep and hydration but still made the meeting. GS agreed to meet at Northmoor as well. I picked up GS and Feebs about 6 miles into my run. We rolled down to Lane Avenue and started back north. It felt like Feebs was setting tempo in the 7:20s. He dropped after 8 miles for an easy couple miles back to his car. GS stayed with me all the way back to Wilson Bridge which kept the pace in the 7:10s. Glad he stayed with me, it kept me working hard. It was great to see GS running again. Although he is not entirely over the injury and can't run at top speed, he does have some good endurance. I was surprise by Feebs tempo, I thought he was running a little slower for his longer stuff but he looked pretty smooth.
Sunday morning Feebs and I rolled out with the GF and her friend Aimee. Feebs and the GF are getting ready for IMAZ, Aimee is heading to IM Florida in a few weeks. It was a little windy going out but the sights were great. I wanted to show Feebs the nice autumn colors as well as some quiet country roads. Feebs showed his fitness on the Corkscrew climb taking the Pickerell sprint sign at the top. I managed to get the rest of the sprints signs since I knew where they were. I have a distinct advantage on these since he doesn't know the routes and couldn't ride too far ahead. I like to think of it as home course advantage. Aimee and the GF didn't manage to win any sprint signs but I don't think they were really trying.
Monday morning came way too early to make the Master's swimming class but I was OK with that. A pool is a pool and Feebs could afford to miss a swim workout. We started the week with a good run at my favorite location, Highbanks. Feebs put in one loop for about 5.5 miles, I did a partial second loop to round it up to 7 miles.
Antrim run, Top of Ohio ride, and Highbanks run gave Feebs a good overview of our normal training grounds. A very successful weekend.

It was good to have company on the ride - it was especially nice to have someone blocking all that wind for me on the bike! Thanks! Great to have Feebs in town for a bit too! And no, we weren't trying to do any sprints! LOL!
