Nemo may have gotten the IM bug in Louisville. Tough to tell but I think he was impressed by the event. I wouldn't ever go there for Ironman...I'd melt.
Monday was a rest day so not much to tell. I could detail the hours I spent reviewing Proposals for work and that junk but I know you don't believe I have a job.
Now Tuesday...Tuesday makes me giddy! 5:30 am at Thomas Worthington track. All the MRC(am) from the 614 were present. MD is in town, yes you read that right. Nemo didn't choose sleep, Nance didn't send a late night "I'm out" email and GS isn't hurt (right now). I was so excited that I woke up at 4:00 and decided to just start pouring coffee down. Whooooo Hooooo!
Despite being up early, I was last to the track. Did you ever have one of those times when you were running early enough that you started to do other stuff and then ended up late? That's what happened. Any how...
We did an easy warm up while everyone biched about starting early, darkness, health, fatness, and the other normal topics. Nemo gave us an update on his brother's recovery from IM Louisville and then were were off. It got quiet after that.
I led the first 1000 nailing every 400 on 1:30ish and then pushing a little more on the last 400 for a 7:27. Nemo was hard on my heels with the rest falling in single file. The second 1000 was much the same. "Very Good" I thought. The third didn't go quite as well. Nemo led the third 1000 with GS and I right in behind. First 400 was 1:28, a little hot. The second 400 as right on 1:30. After that I had to take an emergency break, over the fence, and to the port-o-john. GS and Nemo finished it out strong. I jumped back and picked back up where I left off to finish my third 2000. I was pleased. It wasn't my legs that caused the problem.
3 x 2000 on 7:30. That is about 6:00 min/mile for the unmathematical.
18:00 Warm up
2000 on 7:27
400 recovery on 2:28
2000 on 7:30

I'm hoping for another 3-4 on the treadmill tonight since I'm sleeping late tomorrow.

You should have been a high jumper. I've never seen a person jump over a fence that high before. Not to mention, the 40 yards between the fence and the John, you covered in 4.35 seconds. That is NFL fast. Your fast is faster than my fast.
